Ramadan 2021 / 1442AH – Fast 4 – Unity

“Hold fast to God’s rope all together; do not split into factions. Remember God’s favour to you: you were enemies and then He brought your hearts together and you became brothers” 3:103

“Be a community that calls for what is good, urges what is right, and forbids what is wrong: those who do this are the successful ones.” 3:104

Allah constantly enjoins unity to mankind in the Quran, coming together on shared ground to do righteous, good deeds and to worship him through goodness. Love for God should transcend these sectarian boundaries, we all have a shared humanity we can unite upon and seek to do good unto one another.

Oftentimes the differences we think drive us apart are vastly out numbered by the abundance of things that unite us, we simply need to look beyond them and towards our greater shared humanity.
